You mean the fact that I said they are working on getting a top tier series going? Isn't that precisely what Mick just said?

My other point was that even with a horrendous OOC schedule like last year, our overall SOS was still better than X and has been consistently so for many years (using the Sagarin ratings SOS). Which is absolutely true.

I will gladly fork into some crow if warranted - I think you need to go back and re-read the thread.

Don't worry, J, I've read the posts thoroughly enough. Just thought you'd enjoy this article.

Why would ESPN insist UK play at UC rather than at Syracuse for the last time maybe? Or at UCONN? Or at Pitt or even Villanova in one of Philly's big arenas , Or at Marquette ????? There is no glory past or present in a UK-UC matchup, only bad memories. Does ESPN really need to alienate fans of the national champion? UC saying it's time for UK to come here and play them is just another "hell or high water" story generated by the Enquirer's UC beat writer to stir up fan interest and let YTG claim we're eager to play UK but they must be afraid to play us and are avoiding us? :o  :?
UK fans hate slow down games and still have a grip about uc game way back when the Yates man was in charge. Talk about long memories
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Just to certify what I said before this Muskieman quote, "Heard on ESPN either radio or TV that UK will play at Georgetown as part of the SEC-BE series. Wonder why UC's sid who works at the Enquirer hasn't picked up on that? Maybe too much interest in the PLAY punching episode--make that "alleged" episode. :o

I am reasonably confident that this thread is about uc's nonconference schedule rather than its overall SOS. So your point is irrelevant to this discussion. Shall I pass you the plate of crow?

Ahh, so if I understand correctly you are saying I should eat crow because I didn't admit UC had a poor OOC schedule?

You sure about that?
UC played a ridiculously stupid OOC schedule last year. I completely admit it. I have no idea what they were thinking. I mean they managed to find teams that weren't just poorly ranked but were THE MOST poorly ranked teams in all of D1. I pulled out my season tix and saw names I frankly didn't know were D1 to begin with.

And by unlucky circumstance the Oklahoma series that was locked into years ago (and everyone thought would be a quality home and home) proved to catch them at one of the worst periods in their programs history. Even teams like Miami that have historically been pretty reliably OK, were complete computer ranking disasters.

And yet by the end of the season our SOS still ranks ahead of YOURS ----> http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/bkt1112.htm
