ND paying Weis a LOT not to coach

ND's paid Weis 8.6 million so far since they fired him, and the payments could reach over 18 million through 2015.
This for an arrogant fat-ass who went 16-21 his last 3 years at ND.

Mike Brey was paid a total of 1.3 million, pretty evenly split between actual salary and money from Notre Dame Sports Properties.

if ND had kept Weiss, then UC wouldn't have had Butch Jones coaching their football team. Many of them are probably thanking Notre Dame for that.

Interestingly I am hearing from some of the Indy ND alums that "Swarbrick (the AD) believes that Brey will not be there forever and is already targeting Stevens of Butler". I repeat - pure rumor but that is an example of the arrogance of some of the ND Alums. They just assume that Stevens keeps a bag packed in case ND calls. One of the greatest days in my life as an X fan was when Pete Gillen told them to take their job and shove it.

I frankly doubt that Stevens would be interested in the ND job. Could be wrong, but he could do a lot better - including staying at Butler.

Like Neutral , I find the alum's to be arrogant pricks! Every chance I get I ask them when do they believe they will win in football? They always have an excuse...the coach...the bad call, the tough schedule. And I love how they still believe USC is a rivalry?? USC's drills them every year...And they ran off my friend Kevin White AD, stabbing him in the back by hiring Weiss without even discussing with Kevin...He's better off at Duke. The current AD hammers the AD's of Pitt, WVU and Syracuse for leaving the Big East saying they have NO LOYALTY to the conference. If ND would enter the conference in all sports(including football) those schools would not have left. However, ND is sooooooo greedy they remain independent in football for the money!!! Now, their butt's are in a fix in basketball....good for em. They are used to getting their way. Nice to see somebody else stick it to them for a change..
