Glad someone pointed this out already.

After the first couple lines of that article I stopped reading, and from other comments I'm glad I did. Classic UD Cryers

Anyone remember Brian Thorton? How'd that turn out for us.

Uhhhhhhhhh,

We won the A-10 Tournament and went to the NCAA's.

Way to rub one more in on the Cryers, Detroit! Nicely done.

Some teams pick themselves up after the loss of a pivotal player, one that was the center of the offense, the big man and make a name for themselves because it is a team effort. Sure they might stumble but they move on and take it like men. Some teams spend all their energy explaining why they can't do it. Success comes in can not cannots.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Jimmie Binnie is the answer! I have no idea how he can be a D-1 scholarship player. I think Simons was better than Binnie.

The sad thing about UD and all their supposed great recruiting classes is you take out Roberts, Wright and Little and they are worse than Olean Welding. To be honest Olean Welding gave X a better game and didn't roll over like UD did.

I'm disappointed in Archdeacon. Damn, I didn't think he'd be a whiner, too. Gregory must really be naive if he has to use flu as the reason for a defeat.
Xavier played nine of the 10 scholarship players and all of them scored! Why diminish a victory Xavier would have had even if Roberts were healthy and the two injured players were playing. When you run players like Jimmy Binne out there masquerading as D1 basketball competitors, you deserve everything you get.
In fairness to Roberts, a fine basketball player, Gregory, who is obviously fighting for his job, needs all the excuses he can muster. And I truly believe, if Roberts were that ill, he should have been home in bed. Gregory may have risked the kid's season with his action.
The plain truth is, if anyone in Dayton cares to admit it, the Flyers are suffering from the sins of a series of questionable coaches which began when Mick Donoher was shown the door. O'Brien, Purnell (sp) --he of the questionable recruiting practices--left Dayton for greener pastures, one step ahead of the investigators. Dayton's recruiting has been second rate for many years--Nice kids who can't play the game. The days of Bucky Bockhorn types--guys who'd run through a wall to win, who teamed up with another brother to break their younger brother's arm-- are gone forever. There are some outstanding basketball players who have worn the Flyer livery. Jimmy Binnie, and his teammates save Brian Roberts ain't some of them.

Does anyone remember when the UD fans would come to this board and brag about the fab 5? When they ignored the fact that a guy like Binnie had it down to UD.... and Valpo.

Since Stanley spent the evening glued to "Brob," I hope he wasn't infected. Maybe the crack UD medical staff that had Wright playing on a broken ankle has missed "Brob's" case of mono.

In addition to me, 3 guys that went to game w/ me all said at various points in the game,"God, Jimmie Binnie is terrible."

Even w/ injuries, I have to believe UD can start someone who is better than that guy.
