Stats re XU's chances of winning

Per today's Chicago Sun-Times-

23-0 when scoring 70 or more points
6-6 when scoring less than 70.

22-0 when 4 or more guys score in double figures.
7-6 when that doesn't happen.

The comments also include "Musketeers rallied from double-digit deficits in first two rounds but can't hope to do that again here (against WVU)".

You are missing the a stat that is much more important:

yes , I agree with the stats. Especially the one with 70 points or more scored and winning. I have said for years to friends, that Xavier almost always wins when they score 70 points or more. And I have said for years that when Xavier scores under 70 points , the game is always in doubt and or the refs decide the game for X and it is usually a loss. X needs to drive to the middle etc and score points and or get the defense to foul.....X tends to win when they get to the free throw line a lot! !!! Just shooting 3s will not win the games .

Normally, I'd agree with you, but as millersdad says, layups and FT's don't count as points. Only jumpers do.

we may be at the line a lot in this game. WVA is a definite foul-prone team; they rank #222 in fouls per game.
