Re: UDPride poster has Redford at the starting PG
wow what a credible post. If redford starts at point were in deep trouble. He can shoot from anywhere on the floor but is not a floor general yet. Holloway looked pretty smooth running the point in the scrimmage. Crawford looked better as we all know, but the way i seen it was that Holloway had the best point guard skills with Dante next. There's no way in hell that redford is a point guard, he can dribble a little and shoot lights out if he gets a look but the problem in the scrimmage is they didn't run specific plays to get him open so he never shot. He was 1-1, 5 pts, and 2-2 from the line. His shot is pure as the sky is blue but unless we run plays for him he's gonna find it tough to find shots.

I enjoy how the Dayton fans know so much about our players, especially since he picked X over UD. They are pretty pathetic over there and the I enjoy the Swampy Meadows guy who saw an all star game and knows how ready Brad Redford is for college Basketball. They can enjoy London Warren and the DII Juco guard they got, I'll take Redford over those clowns anyday.

Swampy is still pi$$ed that he got called out for saying that Redford had NO SHOT at the Mich. Mr. BBall award. He said PWilliams had a much better shot at it. I guess the crow he ate left a bad taste in his mouth.suspectx wrote: I enjoy the Swampy Meadows guy who saw an all star game and knows how ready Brad Redford is for college Basketball. Regarding Swampy's (Uof D) comment on Redford that he essentially bombed in the Michigan HS All-Star game with only 2 baskets (and one came after the outcome was decided): I don't know what game he was at. True, probably Redford didn't have his best game. They were platooning 2 teams and he probably played half the game or less. Still, he scored 20 points and was named MVP of his team. So while not scoring in his usual 30's, he still had a decent game.

Re: UDPride poster has Redford at the starting PG
Swampy was plenty pissed when Redford was named the player of year in Michigan. He put his misguided thoughts in print and clearly showed how little he knew about basketball. Then he tried to backtrack on his comments after he was embarrassed on UDPride.
With another Xavier dominated A10 pre-season vote, the poor guy is probably in west Dayton drinking his pain away tonight. Poor Swampy has another long season ahead of him..............
