Duke at Purdue 9pm Tuesday maybe be worth...Xavier fan watch
Since Xavier plays Duke soon and Xavier may have Purdue down the road...should be a good game to watch ...Xavier is going to need to slow Duke down, play a slow game, fewer shots, and keep the score down to have a shot to win....based on current low scoring for X...so defense may be the key to beating Duke

X is exactly the type of team that Duke struggles with: big, physical, tough, strong inside game, good defense. As long as Duke doesn't have a ridiculous day from outside the arc and X can slow the game down and keep it low-scoring, we have a great shot to beat those punks (of course, having Holloway back wouldn't hurt either).
I live in Raleigh in the heart of ACC country, and I would love nothing more than to hear all these Duke fans cry about how they lost to an ATLANTIC 10 team. As far as everyone down here is concerned, no conference exists in college basketball besides the ACC.

It's a North Carolina thing. I doubt many people would know what conferences East Carolina (CUSA) or Davidson (SOCON) are in. You can't really expect to hear much about any other conference living in the triangle area.Benxu wrote:I live in Raleigh in the heart of ACC country, and I would love nothing more than to hear all these Duke fans cry about how they lost to an ATLANTIC 10 team. UNC is the Darfur of intelligence.
XU fans don't root for UC football.

Time for the Xavier Blue to take it to the Dooooookies! These are two teams we could see in Dec and then again in March. . .how sweet it would be to take out the Big Ten and the ACC!

Duke is averaging 84 pts per game ,while Xavier is about 72 ppg....a 12 point difference. Duke is 7-0 in the ACC Big10 challenge...not one loss. Stats so far are in Dukes favor. Can't win unless you score....and score more than. Xavier has a big challenge coming up and NOW is the time to stick it to the Duke.

Dickie V talking about Painter a great young coach along with guys like Sean Miller
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Painter said at half time ...Duke made us play too fast... and then Purdue had massive turnovers early cause they played too fast. As I said earlier ..you got to make Duke play a slow down game and then play hard defense to keep their scoring down.

I watched most of that game until they got up so much it was not worth my time. Purdue dosn't play D like X plays D. There were so many put backs by Duke it was funny. I feel X will have to play a complete game but Duke can be beaten with good D. they play good D but they haven't played against a team that plays great D.

Duke completely destroyed Purdue last night. A Purdue team which is better than the Purdue team which Xavier barely beat in the NCAA tourney last year. At this point in time I do not think the current X team is playing better than the X NCAA team of last year. That means that X would be considered a definite underdog to the current Duke team . It is going to take an almost perfect executed game by Xavier to defeat this Duke team. Duke is beatable but only by a team which makes few mistakes, scores well, and plays perfect defense(can t put Duke at the foul line, they shoot too well). Xavier needs to take their whole game up a few levels to defeat Duke.
