Miller has a better track record and would have been a better hire for X at the time.

X has as many Sw 16s as UC has tourney wins this century. Also, Brannen and Miller haven't had any tourney appearances at UC. Sweet even the worst team in the BE is better than any team in the AAC excluding maybe Houston. I'd think you should be worried about your bearkittens because they were exposed last night. BTW Depaul has a better out-of-conference record than UC. Most X fans hope UC would be better because you drag our schedule down

The fact of the matter is, UC is about the 12th-15th best team X plays any year, while X is a top three game for them. A loss would have tumbled our lofty NET and seeding from a 5-6, to a 9 or 10. However, a UC win would have put UC on the right side of the bubble. A small private school being the Superbowl to a school with no academic standards and 8x the enrollment has to be a colossal embarrassment for someone who understands the implication, but Sweet is blissfully unaware.

I'll await the 6th-grade caliber, 14-word, circular response. Any one more thoughtful and comprehensive would cause Sweet to bleed out of his ears for three days. He's obviously not capable of providing one any way.

I'm embarassed, b/c I told my son X would win by 10-12 points. I had slight concerns when I saw that they beat Illinois by 20, until I reralized Ill has three losses already this year.

X is ridiculously deep and talented. X held a 20+ lead for much of the game, despite the fact that Freemantle, Jones, and Johnson only scored twenty points cumulatively. There are three players who would get bench minutes from X, and that's Lahkin, Saunders, and DeJulius (sp?). Steele took Miller to coaching school. but I suspect Wes sat in in the corner of the locker room at Cintas sucking his thumb two hours before game time. The phrase "deer in the headlights" applied to him, as he had no clue how to counter the many defensive looks X gave.

I think Miller is a good coach, but then again, that's based on how he performed at a very low mid-major. He ain't in Kansas anymore, as he now coaches ad a middling mid-major. Big jump....for him.

FT: 80% on 35 free throws. The refs missed about 10 more as well.

At least UC, like their football team, can take comfort that they will play the rest of their games in a God-awful league. The difference though is they will have one tough game in Houston, where they had no good teams in their football league. Better to be lucky than good I guess.
