Re: Providence game thread
PC has 8 more points from the foul line. they are shooting about 82% from the line.
I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can't trust em.

Croswell fouls every time down but the refs call it on Hunter after Crswell drags him under the rim.

The Providence guy falls into the lane and it’s an X violation? Maybe the worst call I have seen all year

Muskie Man you are so right about Anderson. He has reffed many of my sons games over the yrs. and my son totally agrees with your assessment. He loves to be center stage. Unbelievable game by X. So much heart and guts. Not only did we beat PC but we beat the refs. So proud of our team. Now I know why we don play zone. It is worse than our man to man use to be. It was also a big game for BE seeding.

Re: Providence game thread
Are you not entertained? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED..??? Huge F'ing win. Takes some huge hang-me-downs to pull this road kill out of the bag. You need players. No, strike that, you need BALLERS. And we had the best two. Souley all game and Colby in 2ne half. Now, to those of you who have been sniping and nit-picking Souley at times this year - Shove it. The dude won this game almost single handedly...

Re: Providence game thread
X won due to the heroics of Boum & Jones.SM is an elite coach and deserved NCOY candidate. Remarkable job of retooling his offense with the absence of one of the best offensive players in the league in Freemantle. Defensively, he has been subpar, despite being a defensive guru. I take some of the blame. I meant to order Defense for Dummies from Amazon for him, but accidentally ordered Crooners for Dummies with Tony Bennett the singer. Regardless, look at just a few of the other teams who free-fell when a key player was injured:
TCU lost 4 or 5 games without one of their best players in Miles.
Creighton lost four in a row, two against Quad 3 teams without Kalk.
Nova, who now is playing like a Top 25 Team, was playing like a sub-200 team w/o Whitmore and Moore.
The list goes on and on and on. SM has engineered the best offense in the county, and an improving defense, which is largely due to Hunter playing a lot more along with Claude. Remarkable year. The new Jay Wright of the BE.
