Who is the girl posting - act like you have been there.
Ryan (Cleveland, OH): Jay, why do you hate Xavier and discredit everything they've done? They deserve the 2 seed if they win out, no questions asked!
Jay Bilas: (5:39 PM ET ) Yep, you've nailed me. I have put Stanley Burrell on my list for the best defender in the country, and I have written about Xavier estensively...check out my blog and chat archives and see how much I hate your team. Actuall, my strategy has been brilliant. I just give your team compliments, and that masks my disdain. Please, give me a break and enjoy your team. Xavier can get to the Final Four. Have fun with it. But, if you like feeling disrespected....have at it!!

Re: Bilas Chat - ESPN
Seriously, Ryan from Cleveland is just making us look bad. Its his job to speak his mind and even though most xu fans don’t agree with his comments last March its time to let what Bilas said go. Bilas is just going to keep hating on us if people keep getting on him every time we have a difference of opinion with him.

Other than Bilas ripping X getting in the tourney last year, he has always been very fair to X. Some have the attitude that at no time should a writer or reporter EVER say anything negative about X.

Re: Bilas Chat - ESPN
Jay Bilas has one thing and don't ever forget it. He has the power of being one of the basketball experts, and maybe one of the most savvy on the biggest and most watched sports network in the world.
When he says the things he has said lately about Xavier, the adults who cherish this university should forget about last year.
Remember this please. I don't give a damn what you say about me, just spell my name correctly. Please.
Even when he's talking negatively about Xavier, ask yourself this: "When over the past 25-30 years has Xavier ever had so much publicity, both pro and con, other than the last three years?"
Bilas has the power. And I don't think he abuses it. He is entitled to his opinion even if it p!sses us off. His cohorts on the network, Digger, Dickie and the others, know about Xavier, look favorably on the basketball program and really have provided Xavier with plenty of recognition.
When Xavier was making its march through the OOC schedule, ESPN would highlight Derrick Brown's fantastic dunks at the same time Dayton was getting higher ratings in the polls but not nearly the nightly attention Xavier got.
Jay Bilas may have griped your gigee but he has certainly made up for it this year. Let's show some serious maturity and behave like intelligent members of the Xavier Nation. For years the best thing the national media could say about Xavier was it graduated every player who completed his four years of eligibility. Now the national media is talking about a No. 9 team, Xavier. Let's enjoy the moment. Those kids on the floor have earned it and so has Sean.
Oh, and speaking of Sean, Mr. Stallings just jumped to the head of the line in the Indiana coaching sweepstakes.

I do agree that paying to read someone's column is ridiculous and almost all of Bilas' are that way - but more are going that direction. If you sign up for the magazine you get access to Insider with it. I paid $10 for 1/2 year and you can a year for $15 - I think it is worth it during this time of year. It also gives nice little breakdowns of all teams matched up in Bracketology
Team Record (Conf.) RPI SOS Last 12
XAVIER 24-4 (12-1) 6 12 11-1
ROBERT MORRIS 23-6 (14-2) 125 327 11-1
XAVIER
The Musketeers have clinched no worse than a tie for the Atlantic 10 title. Only one legitimate test (@Saint Joseph's) remains.
Why seeded here?
The final No. 2 seed is wide open.
May change because:
Why not Xavier?
Good Wins
RPI 1-25: N-Indiana
RPI 26-50: N-Kent State, N-Kansas State, Dayton, @Massachusetts, Saint Joseph's, @Rhode Island, @Dayton
Bad Losses
RPI 101-200: none
RPI 201+: none
ROBERT MORRIS
"Bobby Mo" has the outright NEC lead after hammering Wagner for its 11th straight win. The Colonials control their own destiny in the conference race.
Best win (RPI): @Boston College (No. 105)
Worst loss (RPI): St. Francis-PA (No. 301)
