Cool article - thanks for sharing. I played one year in pep band and we didn't get to travel. Would have been fun. Although losing to Kansas in '88 would have been a quick trip.

Man, we never, ever got to fly when I was in the pep band. It was always a bus -- a nice bus, but still a bus! Fifteen hours to Tallahassee, probably less than 15 hours IN Tallahassee and 15 hours right back to Cincinnati was the worst trip ever!

What a great article! Reminds of my years in the Xavier Pep Band. We didn't get to sweet 16 in my years at Xavier (the David West era), but trips to Dallas and Nashville were some of my best memories of Xavier.
