I agree with MOR. We WISH our 4 XU teams had won a total of 48 games. That 5-win season was so darn much fun.

Actually, it wasn't as bad as it sounds because our expectations were so low and our talent was so bad that we appreciated how hard our guys were playing, even if they didn't come close to matching up with our opponents. Every time we made a basket, it was a big deal.

And we were hammered before, during and after the games.

I believe there were three wins my senior year, with a loss to Thomas More. Best season was 12-14.

Hope Digger Phelps keeps picking against us, as he did again the other night. Let's make him 0-3.

Your junior year (12-14) must have been our senior year, because the 3-23 year came just after we graduated. That put an end to the two-year "Dick Campbell Era", which led to the "Tay Baker Mediocrity Tour", which, thankfully, led to the "Bob Staak Renaissance". And the rest is history.

Yclppr, Digger Phelps stopped liking Xavier when his ND teams couldn't beat up on us anymore. Nowadays how could he dare pick against WVa, from the same conference as his overrated Irish (nice OCS, ND!) ?

Reading the posts of some of you slightly older guys, my 48 wins seems almost competitive. I do remember Justin Doellman’s dad at Schmidt just drilling shot after shot.
